IPTV on Smart TV: Best Apps for Samsung, LG and Google TV
If your TV has an app store, you may not need any extra box at all. Here is how to set it up on the brands most common in Canadian homes.

Quick answer: To watch IPTV on smart TV sets, open your TV’s app store (Samsung Apps, LG Content Store, or Google Play), install a player such as IPTV Smarters or IBO Player, and enter your login. Some players activate through a device ID on the developer’s website.

Setting up IPTV on smart TV: Samsung
- Press Home and open Apps.
- Search for your player app (for example IPTV Smarters Pro or IBO Player) and install it.
- Open the app. It either shows a login screen or a device ID / MAC address.
- For a login screen, choose Xtream Codes and enter your details.
- For a device ID, send it to us on WhatsApp or add your playlist on the app’s website as instructed, then restart the app.
Setting up IPTV on smart TV: LG
- Press Home and open the LG Content Store.
- Search for and install your player app.
- Open it and follow the same login or device-ID step as above.
- Let the channel list and guide load, then set your favourites.
Google TV and Android TV sets

About activation fees
Some smart TV player apps are free, while others charge a small one-time or yearly activation fee paid directly to the app developer. That fee is separate from your iptvvpro plan and goes to the app maker, not to us. If you would rather avoid it, a Firestick with a free player is an alternative.
Tips for a smooth picture on your TV
- Connect the TV to the router with Ethernet; TV Wi-Fi chips are often weaker than a stick’s.
- Update the TV firmware in Settings → Support → Software Update.
- Turn the TV fully off now and then (unplug for 30 seconds) to clear memory.
- If channel switching feels slow, try a lighter player app or a streaming stick.

Can I watch IPTV on smart TV models from Samsung and LG?
Yes. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs from roughly 2018 onward support IPTV player apps from their app stores. Very old models may have no compatible app; a Firestick is the easy fix.
Why does the app ask me to activate with a MAC address?
Some smart TV players, such as IBO Player, link your playlist to the TV’s device ID or MAC address through the developer’s website. Some also charge a small activation fee to the app developer, which is separate from your iptvvpro plan.
Is IPTV on smart TV slower than on a Firestick?
On budget TVs, often yes: menus and channel switching can feel slower. Mid-range and high-end TVs are fine. If your TV feels sluggish, a Firestick or Google TV device is a cheap upgrade.
What about Sony, Hisense, and TCL TVs?
